When we take on a new product to manufacture, we set up project teams to monitor all of the different aspects, from development on through to the point where it actually hits the shelves.

I'm usually on that team because it requires cross-functional understanding of things. If I weren't on the team then all three of my people would have to be, because they know elements of their own areas, but not necessarily how it functions with other areas. So it's a lot easier for me to be part of a project team.
